Rep. Charles Taylor (R-NC) put out a statement today claiming that he'd voted "NO" on CAFTA only to have the House Clerk's office make an error which led to his vote not being counted.
Well, sorry 'bout that. You see, the Republican party controls Washington, and according to them, it's your own fault if you were too stupid to make sure that your vote got counted correctly. Besides, your vote wouldn't have mattered anyway, and our whole democratic system would collapse if you were allowed to show that your vote was not counted. This just shows that you are a sore loser. You are probably a felon too. The country just has to have certainty, after all, and that's more important than getting your vote counted.

Sometimes the littlest things can really set me off ... here is the text of a resolution introduced into the Senate today by Bill Frist, the Senate majority leader:
"Any federal officeholder who makes reference to a classified Federal Bureau of Investigation report on the floor of the United States Senate, or any federal officeholder that makes a statement based on a FBI agent's comments which is used as propaganda by terrorist organizations thereby putting our servicemen and women at risk, shall not be permitted access to such information or to hold a security clearance for access to such information."
You pathetic, petty, FUCK. You are a member of the Senate of the United States of America. Quit acting like fucking Kim Jong-Il. I hope you do run for president in 2008 - there's no way a dipshit like you won't have all kinds of skeletons in the closet.
