Watching CNN earlier, I think I saw that old crusty bastard Bill Bennett get a bit choked up over the election of a black man to the White House.
Now that McCain is off the stage, what happens to the Republican Party? Do they go bat-shit crazy under the standard of someone like Palin, or do they hit restart and realize that the demographics of the nation no longer favor the politics of division and hatred?
McCain's speech was classy ... it felt like he said "fuck it I don't have to kiss ass on the retards anymore" and reverted to the McCain of 2000, rather than the McCain we've seen the last few months.
When I saw Palin standing on stage with McCain in Arizona, my thought was "I wonder if Palin thinks she can see Mexico from where she's standing?"
California ... California of all places ... is voting to abolish gay marriage. The Republic of California. And the Mormons spent millions supporting it. The Mormons. The same people who started their own state so they could practice their own "against the mainstream" form of marriage.
